Mum's first comment
I posted a photo of my birthday cake, and I wanted a good caption. I wrote, "Twenty-six and still hungry." My friend Jo said, "Add a hashtag!" So I added #cakeoftheyear. Very professional.
Two minutes later, I had my first comment. It was from Mum. She had just learned to follow people. She wrote, "Is the cake burnt?"
It wasn't burnt. It was chocolate. Then she tried to tag me in a photo, but she tagged my cousin Kerem, who lives in Germany. Now Kerem is in a photo of Mum's dinner. He wrote, "I don't know this soup." I'm leaving the post up. It has seventeen likes.

Forty seconds of pancake
I made a reel of my pancake flipping. It took one second. The pancake went up, hit the ceiling and stayed there. I put it on my story first, for a laugh, and then I posted it.
I never thought a video could go viral. But by morning, two hundred thousand people had watched my pancake stay on my ceiling! My profile went from forty followers to eight thousand.
Some comments were kind. Some were not. One said, "Get a better kitchen." I decided to unfollow the rude ones, but there were too many. Then a pancake company asked me to do an advert. I said yes, but only if the pancake stays on the ceiling.

Seen at 9:14
Tom has a problem. At nine o'clock he sent a message to Ellie: "Fancy a coffee on Saturday?" Now it says "seen 9:14", and she hasn't answered. Left on read!
He sends me a screenshot. "What does it mean, Hakan?" I say, "It means she's busy." He says, "Or she hates me." I say, "Stop looking at your phone."
At ten past ten, a notification pops up on Tom's screen. I hear him shout all the way from the kitchen. Ellie wrote, "Sorry, I was on the train!" and a coffee emoji and a heart emoji. Tom looks like a man who won the lottery. I'm making him buy the coffees.

Plants, not plans
I'm new at work, and my colleague Mark messaged me: "Can you send me the plans for Friday?" I was on the bus, so I wrote, "Sure, I'll text back when I'm at my desk." Then I typed quickly, "I'll send the plans soon!" But autocorrect changed it. It wasn't a typo. It was a crime.
Mark sent me a photo of his garden. "These plants?" he wrote. I wanted to disappear under my seat.
I wrote, "Sorry! I'll get back to you with the right file." He wrote, "Ha! Best Monday ever. DM me the plans when you're ready." That evening he followed my page, so I decided to follow back. Now he sends me a photo of a new plant every day.
