Key phrase It's well worth watching. (American English: It's totally worth watching.)
Just one more episode
Hi Hannah, it's Wendy. Sorry, I can't come in early tomorrow. I started a new series last night. I said, "Just one episode." It's now four in the morning.
I only pay for one subscription, so I can stream it on my laptop for nine pounds a month. That's cheap. But I didn't plan to binge-watch the whole first season in one night. I'm on episode eleven.
There's a good side, though. I know exactly who did it. Well, I think I know. Now I need to see the last episode, because I'm not going to sleep anyway. See you at ten, with a very large coffee.

Friday night committee
Right, it's Friday night and we have a problem. We can't agree on a film. Ali wants a thriller. I watched the trailer, and it looks good, but I don't want nightmares.
Ali says, "Okay, a comedy, then." The comedy trailer has three jokes in two minutes. Two of them are about a dog. No, thanks.
Then Ali finds a documentary about penguins. I'm not sure about it, but the reviews say it's well worth watching. So we make tea, get the biscuits, and put it on. Twenty minutes later, we're both completely quiet. Penguins are very dramatic. It's better than the thriller, honestly.

Why I watch it in Korean
Mel, you have to watch this Korean series with me. I know, I know. You don't like reading subtitles. But the dubbed version is awful. All the voices sound the same, even the old grandmother!
The cast is huge, so at first I got lost, because every actor has two names. But the main character is great. She's a baker who finds a secret door in her shop. Yes, a baker. Trust me.
You can skip the intro, by the way. It's three minutes long. Oh, and bring tissues and snacks. I cried on episode two, and nothing has even happened yet.

Dad's new obsession
My brother and I saved up for months, and last Friday the sequel to our favourite game was ready to come out. We rushed home and put the game in the games console. Then Dad walked in and said, "What's that? Can I have a go?"
Now Dad is hooked on it. He plays every night after work. When we say, "Can we have a turn?" he says, "Two more minutes." Two minutes is never two minutes.
Yesterday Mum said, "Dad, chill out and put the controller down." He said, "Boring! I'm nearly at the next level." Mum sighed and went upstairs. We watched Dad win. He was happy as a child. We'll ask for our turn tomorrow.
