Key phrase On Saturday I went to…
Monday morning catch-up
My weekend? Really nice, thanks. On Saturday I went to visit my parents. They live by the sea, so we had fish and chips on the beach. It was windy, and a seagull stole my dad's chips.
In the evening we went to the cinema, but the film was so boring that my dad fell asleep. He says he didn't, but he did!
On Sunday I decided to stay at home and just relax. I turned off my phone, read a book and had a long bath. I really enjoy days like that. Now it's Monday and I'm not ready. What did you get up to?

The festival in the rain
Honestly, it was the worst and best weekend of my life. We drove to a music festival in Wales. First, it started to rain, and it didn't stop for two days. Our tent was like a swimming pool. We slept in the car the first night.
Then we missed the first band because the car park was full. But on Saturday night, the concert was amazing. The crowd sang every word, and nobody cared about the mud.
I lost one shoe, my phone died, and I've got a cold now. But I'd go again tomorrow. Next year, I'm bringing a better tent. And boots. Definitely boots.

The pyjama weekend
My weekend? I did nothing, and it was perfect. On Friday night my boss said, "Have a nice weekend," and I decided to stay in my flat for two days.
It rained all Saturday, so I relaxed in my pyjamas. I read a book, ate toast and watched three episodes of a cooking show. I enjoyed every minute. Then my phone rang. It was my aunt, and she wanted to visit me on Sunday!
So on Sunday I tidied the flat for two hours. Then she called again and said, "Sorry, I'm too tired, let's meet next week." I was so happy. Back to my pyjamas!

Hi, Auntie! The school concert
Guess what I did on Sunday afternoon? I went to my nephew's school concert. He's seven, and it was his first time on stage.
We missed the start because the bus was late, so we ran into the hall. It was full. The crowd was huge: mums, dads, grandparents, everybody with a phone. We stood at the back, and I couldn't see anything!
Then Oscar started to sing. He forgot the words, so he waved at us and shouted, "Hi, Auntie!" Everybody laughed. It was amazing. After the concert, he told me, "I'm a star." And honestly? He is.
